Chadava
Made new, with joy.
The name
Chadava (kha-DAH-va) is a word we made, built from the Hebrew root of chadash, “new” or “renewed”. To us it means made new, with joy.
In Hebrew, chadash carries the sense of renewal rather than mere novelty, like the moon made new each month. The same root runs through some of Scripture’s most hopeful lines:
- “His mercies are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22–23)
- “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” (Isaiah 43:19)
- “Sing to the Lord a new song.” (Psalm 96:1)
- “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The name also echoes chedvah, Hebrew for joy, as in “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). So Chadava holds both ideas: renewal, and the joy that comes with it.
Pronunciation: the “ch” is a soft kh, as in the Scottish “loch”. “Ka-DAH-va” is fine too.
What we believe
Everything we make should leave people a little better off than it found them.
- Made with joy. We build things we would be glad to hand our own children: apps that help, and games that delight without manipulating.
- Safe by design. Our founder has spent his career in security, so protecting your data isn’t an afterthought. We collect only what we need, keep it safe, and tell you plainly what we do with it.
- Honest by default. No dark patterns, no hidden costs and no tricks to keep you hooked.
- Always being renewed. Like mercies new every morning, our products keep improving, through regular updates, listening to feedback and fixing what’s broken.
Chadava is a Singapore family company that makes apps and games with joy, care and integrity.
